Hemlock Exordium - a review from the 90

Hemlock: Exordium

bitter tears I have cried if the sweet transience of all earthly beauty. They appeared to me in my darkest hours and brought me moments of highest happiness before they went out like a small flame in a storm. It it was the most beautiful and graceful, which I was ever aware, she died in my arms. HEMLOCK is sent dead

This band itself to connect the legacy of Rush. They refined the sound of Canada's most stunning trio, broke the doors of the progressive rock encrusted Struck and drove them to new music Banks of the intensity and emotional depth. could rough outline of the style as a songwriting session by members of the bands Adramelch, Rush, My Dying Bride, Saviour Machine, Skyclad and ELP are described. From each of these Acts are HEMLOCK may have (no one will ever know it now) can be an inspiration to exactly how original and well-structured songs have to sound with a lot of soul. They never have, but even a second copied from above rock heroes, but always have remained true to their direction. Unique in the world was this band.

Take as only marked by a strange melancholy ballad "At Acacia in September," a requiem for a beloved Being that went by them. It describes the feelings that arise in such moments, but also shows that there is a way to take new courage to face life and grief to be Lord. This ballad is only topped by Greg Lake with "C'est la vie" and those who know the latter song, you know what that means.

At the end of album provides the listener with a blast from a huge fairy tale world. "The Immortal Legacy", an almost 20 minutes walking tour of the dreams that each one carries human beings. Musically, the song is a roller - coaster, quiet, dreamy passages give way to ominous rumbling heavy riffs, the short to collapse, and again in floating, gliding over soft moments. This song would be wonderful to have musical accompaniment to the movie "Ronja Robber's Daughter" was appropriate, but unfortunately this 10 years too late. Nevermind. Which of you has a book with a similar story at hand and the reading fun would sweeten with appropriate music, which should be set HEMLOCK "Exordium" CD. All other Metal Heads to the level and progrockers have to leave the duty of this gifted combo at least posthumously its rightful honor to be bestowed, and thus bring the boys to reform itself (how many "TO's" I actually burned up in the last sentence?).

How To Stop Bleeding In The Roof O

Sancta Sanctorum - The shining darkness

(2010, Black Widow Records, Italy, 53.31)
01 The end is near
02 Black sun
03 Nothing left at all
04th Master of destruction
05th Desperate ways
06th When hopes are all gone
07th The soul of truth
08th Bread of tears
09th No expectations
10th When you die
Stefano Silvestri aka Steve Sylvester, formerly head of the esoteric Heavy Metal - and later meets Elektrogoth Glamhardrock cult band DEATH SS and high 70s Progfanatiker is arrived back where went off just over thirty years, the journey for him. Freed from narrow occult - esoteric corset of the (former?) Main band play he and his colleagues, including Danny Hughes (bass) and Thomas Hand Chaste (PAUL CHAIN, WITCH FIELD, percussion), two warriors of the first DEATH SS cast, an ethereal, leaden Doom, who has taken up purely phonetically the sinister Horrorattitüde early DEATH SS , but exceeds by psychedelic and playful, the 70s Heavyprog oriented passages and borders. The sound is perfect, of course, this year, literally bubbling and boiling in the pit, wavers like a black cloud of purple into your world. This music is very fresh and up to date, even with the forty-year legacy that she carries around with him. After the rather futuristic and creaking from the melody are inclined to run with "The end is near" Doombrecher a monstrous, marched across the one hand, wonderfully heavy and monolithic about you, on the other hand, can not deny a certain Grundeingängigkeit and even Hitqualitäten - something modern. DEATH SS peeping out from every note here, just in the Doomvariante. "Black sun" could be more "Mad messiah" by Steve Sylvester his solo album. A happy and colorful magic melody, haunting organ sounds, a wonderful pop song is finished in the late 60s, but with current celebrates freshness and power. Another gem in a vast collection of magnificent pieces. The following "Nothing left at all "it is again heavy and damned angry. It is less in the game Doom, but very massive, hard rock with great groovy, aggressive organs and even the demonic voice of the master. The gruff melodies arise here soon again a very coherent, captivating picture and give the piece Hitcharakter. DEATH SS are not too far away, but you notice that there were other musicians have a say, including Thomas Hand Chaste, whose gloomy - doomy WITCH FIELD project also had a compositional effect. It continues with lively stomping and prancing rhythms, monotonous rhythm guitars, spacey keyboards, and powerful lead guitar. In addition, the rusty Voice of Steve Sylvester, which brings in more earthy melodies. Here for my taste more of the space rock reigns as the Doom, heavy with no end it tears your soul from the body. Especially the Klangfreakout through the regular song structures towards the end of the piece is completely insane. "Master of Destruction" is the title of the piece. Mysterious it is in "Desperate Ways", a seething mix of 70s Heavy Psyche, Urdoom and horror music represented by this time not in permanent organ. The verse is still cautious. One senses, however, this almost unbearable tension, as would at once suggest to the events. The chorus booms massive, although it does not solve all the excitement, but this was deliberate seems. Proceeds of the section at the end is gone, let off steam where the lead guitar, where Sylvester on the structures very intense emotionally lacking, the instrumentation a boiling and steaming mud is sound. Once more the verse part is played, then it's over. The boys can play with very much, it is a pleasure to listen to the musicians to discover again and again beautiful subtleties, though it is really thundering hard rock, which we are served here. But they can, too gentle. "When all hopes are gone," suggests in his introduction, that here is a pain-filled ballad despair, but the Truth is still insane. Steve Sylvester border with a fervor his pain out how it's not used to the rhythms lurch around more like a waidwund been shot animal, the organ could have been played on a funeral and took off roaring distorted and effective overloaded guitar its chords. There is a passage with spacey synth effects on spoken word and guitar roar, then it goes back into this emotionally exalted Begräbnisdoom, with Steve here sounds very sad and spits out the lead guitar psychedelic runs over the slow pace of basic structure. A break, a pounding rhythm, the bass rumbles follows like a machine, the rasping guitar in the background, an angry Steve Sylvester about his anger out screaming in the background even spacey Synties. In other song would have to this as the old masters can be Hawkwind. The vocal line is short, the instruments drift nurmehr, then it's over. In "The soul of truth" first creates a huge sound of the organ, not gloomy, but more majestic. In the background, wordless male choruses are heard. Fracture. It grooves and rocks with a seriousness out of the speakers that there is no stopping. Distorted bass lines support as grandiose melodies, the guitars. They are thoroughly modern allusions, which show the listener to the time in which the Sancta Sanctorum are. This song is more modern stoner rock with very old soul and you really sucked into itself. Gruff and yet seductive, the band is here. Toward the end, there is even a more conciliatory again, dreamily moving River Passage. Fantastic. "Bread of Tears" is a short, groovy Acidrocker with utterly distorted guitar, vocal line and pumping mystical, hypnotic grooves that straighten up for the solo part a bit. Here is a gifted pop song is born, the only by the thunderous sounds, which in arrangement from the sources, is expected to miss the charts. 70's influences are quite obvious here, which begins with the gripping soulful vocal melody. And so slowly I'm on it. Steve Sylvester may have squinted back to his roots, but he's still a step further forward, meaning he has it all somehow linked to the weird and brilliant, very honest, friendly manner. Doomfanatiker Altfans and the band DEATH SS will have to take a lot of patience with this album. Lovers of Elektroheavyglamrockphase from DEATH SS could do to end down just as hard, maybe even harder, because the band here again ascends organic sounds and plays just with the old spirit. The fact is that every free-thinking heavy rockers will leave with a penchant for psychedelic and spacey sounds to this. "No expectations" is stomping heavy rock, of course, psychedelic, hypnotic, monolithic and typical for this bunch of musicians is an absolute hit. I would attribute the piece almost more of WITCH FIELD band, but that does not really matter, the meeting enlightened mind creates here a straight, sublime song that you go directly into the blood, deep in your lit a fire storm. The mangy wolf voice of Steve Sylvester and are sweetly fragrant of decay fantastic keyboards and organs. This is great pomp ascended acting actually, but the earthy production and this dreckeligen Doomrockriffs like lead weights, the song hold on the ground. And one is still in, right? A majestic dark Stampfer, who Who would have thought? BLACK SABBATH influences, so very old blues-rock to eerie trimmed dark, especially in the vocal line. This is absolutely fit for 70. The organ and morbid cries imploringly, as if we were at a funeral. Steve sings a little deeper, but less rusty voice. Bass and guitars roar infernal. The song you literally digs into all the senses. Sancta Sanctorum, as DEATH SS already tapping catchy, yet wonderfully weird and nihilistic. In "When you die," there are all trademarks of both bands together again. The lead guitar is great, burns from a firework that has washed himself. Tolle, eaten away by the insane solos on seething Klanglava. Space Rock Doom and become one. My name is Steve Sylvester and his new band welcome. The old and the young heroes of the Italian metal scene have proven to us that creativity lies in fact or in this country, quite apart from the neo-classical bombast rail. Tolle, surrealistic way to brightly colored, yet deeply sinister plate and a highlight for 2010 beyond the usual genre dogmas. And BLACK WIDOW RECORDS have also yet powerful at the wheel flat out, cut out the CD in the superb "Magipack" (Digi-containing) and the vinyl LP in two different colors. Great!

Sorority Crazy Stories

Abysmal Grief - Misfortune

(2010, Black Widow Records, Italy, 48.05)
01 Ignis Fatuus
02 Cadaver Devotion
03 Crypt of Horror
04th The Arrival of the Worm
05th The Knell accurse
06th Resurrecturis
Dark are the shells of death. And since the death of a main role in the spiritual world of the Rain Graves plays from the Italian port city of Genoa, is quite clear that his music is marked accordingly by darkness. Zines on the older EPs the band Abysmal Grief and her magnificent debut album from 2007.

forge After three long years, the Horrordoomer, which now present themselves as a real band, a new, very morbid long iron, located between Poland, the musical vault Rock and Doom, the latter by simmering the earthy variety. DC The opener "Ignis fatuus" sucks the inclined devotee darkest music deep into the abyss of damnation with a song that seems to come because of his deep and demonic documents directly from a damp, verwurmten tomb. In this case, however, are still in the throaty rumbling voice harmonies identify. The influence of the evocative Gothic Rocks the 80s is palpable. The old Fields of the Nephilim are greeting, though bring Abysmal Grief a different approach and much more minimalist than the playful, almost progressive British zuwerke go and relish on simple, but can let fluctuate spend effectively runs as if they were freshly risen from the grave.

The opener has a relaxed, yet driving groove and to offer in the solo part of troubled, boiling lead guitar. Second-placed "Cadaver devotion" sets yet sad at one and a half minutes in length and stomping rhythmically mesmerizing therefore seen as a ritual Urvolktanz, apart from the fawning passages pure Dooms. Are always omnipresent keyboards respectively organs. Played by the passionate support cylinder Labes C. Necrothytus, which also carries the responsibility for the eerie voice and has always been the charismatic face of the band coined.

A few steps on a path of sand and pebbles, the clatter of an iron gate, then you're in the "Crypt of Horror." A deliciously greasy organ weaves like a horror silent movies of the 20s a sweet-smelling of decay melody brutal, straight grooving riffs. In particular, again, sits with his fascinating Necrothytus vicious vocals. Of variety? Listen to me on. Abysmal Grief you want to cocoon, you will hypnotize your soul and suck, which they do with the cleverly repetitive staging of her plays, which brings in some way a significant catchiness with it. The Chembaloklänge in the rear portion of the song, which serve well instead of a guitar solo as an ornament, have been an expression of possession. They played brilliantly to remind to the old Abritte Progrockhelden and just where it did not lack in Italy in the '70s certainly.

A very dark, sacred organ melody and a horror movie synth running club on the opening of "The arrival of the worm, one of the shorter tracks here. This melody rolled forward, crossed from time to time by monotonous sounding bells. In Necrothytus starts after a while, muttering incantations. Who he would like to evoke as well, who will be this worm, which really do not want you to know. This is not quite Viereinhalbminüter remains on the completely demented organ - and synthesizer runs, set in the course more and more insanity each within its monotonous response. A church bell rings

with a thud "The Knell accurse" which again cut the sizzling the ultimate Doomgitarre distorted by recurring chords, in turn, share mysterious keyboards like the patina of many decades from their structures. Certain passages alternating keep the song interesting. It is and will remain an absolutely sinister Kultdoom and continuous, except for wordless rumbling and groaning in the background instrumental. The heavy riffs and macabre organ melodies carry the song. A prototypical Doomsolo with rolling notes, a plaintive wailing guitar snatched burns and cuts you free your senses. Travel is recorded at the end of the play out is the last one and a half minutes, it even rolling double bass drums. Confusing bells game will not only my face, but equally derail all of my senses. Wow ...

climax of this horror music orgy is then at thirteen minutes, "Resurrecturis" the ejector. The riffs are typical of most Doom on them are conjuring sublime gloomy organs. Then again Necrothytus comes with his rumbling voice grave and shows could sound like the merger of BLACK SABBATH and the Fields of the Nephilim. A glorious end for a safe away from all mainstream genre conventions and all dogmas of the true Dooms-lying, large Album charisma. As a horror lover one is getting out about this little disc. The future belongs Doomunderground because of their cross-member Gothic / Doom Kreuzerei this band. After taking nearly half of all Time Abysmal Grief metallic weight of the piece and leave a monotonous bass rumble, wind noise and can use it two minutes on it again great hit.

For daring Doomverfechter dealing with a deep, rumbling and can make friends but harmonious voice. I would like to reiterate that Abysmal Grief Although deal very strongly with death, this is also a very spiritual way, but Black Metal and the like with anything have to do. Its symbolism is Christian dominated throughout, even if one takes here often a questioning position. All in all a terrific hybrid of Doom and 80's Gothic Rock of the darkest kind. I am a big fan

Are Protein Bars Okay On Phase 1 Of South Beach

MUGSTAR - Lime

(2010, Important Records, UK, 40.07 min)
01 Sunburnt impedance machine
02 Serra
03 Radar king
04th Beyond the sun
MUGSTAR are a British space rock band from Liverpool and fit so not the image of the city on the Mersey River. No beat music, but hauntingly mystical guitar melodies and repetitive song structures are needed here, bands like Hawkwind, Can, Kraftwerk, early Pink Floyd and similarly mounted heroes were the inspiration. Here we are also in the very first song. The introductory courses are wonderfully dark and enchanting, the intense guitar melodies spread a very intense mystical atmosphere. A bit of text appears vanishes without singing again soon. It is the only song used on the entire album. A constantly repeating bass line pushes to the fore. Around them to build structures of drums, guitars, organ and synthesizer, sometimes the monotony skillfully staged following the bass line, sometimes eruptive and wild. The mood here is hypnotic, the edge of ecstasy touchierend, with some breaks even across borders. Here, let her clean of the broadcast, greet the old heroes MUGSTAR and connect directly to them. Then an abrupt end, the song breaks down, is gone. Where we are headed now? Gewabere the synthesizer, a driving beat, a bass line, which follows this beat. Sporadic recordings of relatively clear Acidgitarre, a saxophone with unlocked races and various synthetically produced collapse - and Blubbergeräusche beguile thy mind. You float on the still devoted the monotony celebrant sound until all sound tracks blur together and merge into a current that carries you with it. Keyboard melodies appear and take quite a breath Wave / pop with it, which breaks up the space rock of "Serra" skillfully. Here are the Influences of Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk very clearly to be connected with CAN members. If you need for comparisons. I'm intrigued, because even though many bands playing this year, Space Rock and invoke the ancient heroes and virtues, you have to be born for it. MUGSTAR are. At the end of "Serra" is a nice way Farfisaorgel into play, which is reminiscent of American West Coast sounds of 1968, the garden of life, the butterfly opens its doors of iron here. Independent beautiful melodic rock guitars contrast the creaking organ. Very British, indeed. From the monotony out beautiful melodies are born that do not seem to come from this world and yet remains "Serra" true to his line, can not depart from the brittle Saxophoneinsprengseln and repetitive substructures. "Radar king" hereafter is a heavy rocker with intense, brooding melodies and thundering rhythms, roaring like a storm-whipped sea and rages, but also very gentle and relaxing moments within itself, granted by the battered soul of a moment of silence. The song takes a few turns and passes through winding paths to the destination, float can be beguiling passages of powerful rhythms that carry you to power out into the universe friendly, straight to the source of the universal consciousness. Yes, this is definitely music that takes you to another level. Also, "Radar King added, "this increases the intensity into wild, rough areas, but are always supported by straight bass lines and is held by dark, powerful melodies in check. Now we are damned the sun close to come and have us concerned directly under it a place Sun promises the next one, last track. A creaking organ is the beginning, joined them a handsome Independent bass. A light drums lined up in and already you are flying on a beautiful tapestry of sound henceforth. There is but yet again the wordless, mystical vocals in the background . listening but worth it. fluttering synthesizer intensify the atmosphere, softly plays Gitarrenjauler emerge, far back in the jungle sound hidden. Then a break and return to the floating part of the song. The atmosphere is so peaceful, so sublime. Here is the pure love is in every small detail. The song is even louder and yet it remains only a small detail in a lush arrangement. The overall theme of the piece may repeat itself, but what is repeated on the album is not? She whispers to you how you can merge with the universal consciousness, as you can free your mind. And basically it's even tools to do so. So, the British space-rock with herbaceous roots is alive and stronger than ever before. Even the founding fathers Hawkwind have never done this year, a new record. I use this disc from each MUGSTAR Fan herbaceous spacey sounds suggest, if the soul is wide open and you can let yourself go. Grandiose disc, if not innovative. But then I ask myself why we should destroy perfection with innovation? MUGSTAR are the universe and the universe is perfect ...

Example Of Doctor Welcome Letter

Obskuria - Burning sea of green

(2010, World In Sound, Germany / USA / PERU, 45.52)
01 A - bun - dance
02 Somewhere
03 Why?
04th Black magic
05th Under the gallows
06th Slow stone
07th Memories of Mysteria
08th Screaming like a whirlwind
09th Burning sea of green
The good old Acidrock Heavy Psyche and it is apparently better than ever right now. The fun Obskuria Jamband from Germany, Peru and the U.S. confirmed this. Actually it was a Studiojam occasion of the TRIP IN TIME Festival 2006, there were others that Treacle People from southern Germany, on the 70 U.S. Acidrocker Dragonwyck and the Peruvian Space Punks LA IRA DE DIOS, were filled by WORLD IN SOUND label owner and festival organizer Wolf and Jam requested, including cover version of METALLICA "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and go. A acidrockig heavy psychedelic album was released in 2007 and it was thought that it was the. Wrong ... 2010 Obskuria are back. Heavy her psyche is still, sometimes bluesy, sometimes a bit of modern rock with a subtle wave frantically wrapping and groovy rhythms, but always beautiful melodies. The members of the Treacle People have disappeared from the line-up, LA IRA DE DIOS remained complete, in addition as a guitar god Dragonwyck mastermind Tom Brehm. Added are an organist Sandra Disterhöft, singers and singer Matthias Schäuble Murielle Stadelmann. In this cast a powerful Acidrock succeeded CD, which carries the classical motifs and elements of the genre into the present and refreshing releases on the inclined acid heads. But the nearly thirteen-minute title track at the end of the disk is already a grand exit, oscillates between bubbling psychedelic blues rock, hard rock echoing organ-based blues and boogie and crashing sound walls with Freakoutcharakter or increases from one station to another. Murielle singer delivers a home-seeking, captivating performance. It is a classic Blueschanteuse, but this piece brings an enormous amount of LSD impregnated phobias into play and lets the listener really shake.
side "Burning sea of green" it does not have a particularly strong moment. A covert Acidrockband SLAYER. "Black magic" to be exact. Here, the cheerful psychedelic punk rock ruled with satanic lyrical hearty ladle, which acts naturally unintentionally funny, as the Slayer guys when composing the songs were probably all just 16 to 20 years young and quite grünohrig. Anyway, in the psychedelic rock sounds like the piece of clothing fresh and frivolous and invites you to Besinnungslostanzen. Sweet! "Under the gallows" is the masterpiece of singer Matthias, which for me tend to indie - and post-punk bands and 80's Gothic fit / crypt sounds would. A very nice contrast to Muriel and for this casual, candid album just right. And so is "Under the gallows" a mix of frenzied wave / post punk sound of the 80s with a nervous, hypnotic drumming, simple guitar themes, Sandra's Old School Acidorgel monotone bewitching vocals and pumping bass that looks between 60s and 80s, his own way. In the second half of the song is ecstatic, the guitars buzz and hiss effect on load then, the leads come as a Obsessive celebration, everything seems to almost explode. Whoever does not collapse, does not need this disc to hear. Obskuria do it right and combine the past and the present to the sound of the future. The album sounds so passionate and bittersweet as the psychedelic discs of the late 60s, but at the same time melancholy Independend later - and crypt rock sounds here. And it always seems like a whole. If this is just a jam band here, then I would be interested to know, might sound like a solid, consistently solid cooperation. It is magnificent ...

Wording For Pay For Your Own Meal

FORGOTTEN GEMS: PLUTO - Pluto

(1971, Victor, UK, 37.08)
01 Crossfire
02. And My Old Rocking Horse
03 Down And Out
04th Shes Innocent
05th Road To Glory
06th Stealing My Thunder
07th Beauty Queen
08th Mistere Westwood
09th Rag A Bone Joe
10th Bare Lady
an earthy grooving Hard Rock brought us this British band on their 1971 at the Victor label released LP. Three driving songs with straightforward melodies and riffs were the issuing triumvirate of the disk before entering with "She's innocent," a gently-swaying ballad scene, in which the acoustic guitar beautiful little legs spinning, which may well have a folky background, for some pure moments but gives the scepter of a creaking Heavyklampfe. Especially in their typical way lies their beauty and simplicity of the great feelings arise. Relaxed and loose rocks, the group promotes hereafter, and I may not, as the standard macho hard rock would call the early 70s. A slightly sinister whiff emanates from a song like "Road to Glory" in which the singer seems to have to question whether a compromise on this path is quite right. But the hypnotically grooving instrumental part at the end of the song can be no further thoughts about the singer is already on the way and caught him going to the bitter end. Even cooler Boogie is not alien to the English, even if it is a little low in the standard-held sound. Make it with love and passion. The solos of the guitarist, an organ or the like does not take place, are devoted and steaming with desire. Obsession? Well, not quite as ecstatic to give PLUTO. A little harder as the FACES and the Rolling Stones, cool and bluesy as the Groundhog, but straighter and more relaxed. The early 70s in all respects justice to halt. You can turn up if they want, but they wait. The polyphonic Popgesangsharmonien for "beauty queen" seems to aim for the charts, but that's okay. They have charm and soul, as the whole, moderate rock song. Certainly a disc for which you do not necessarily kill, would be to recognize their soul and to live deeply in love with her. The band, despite the standard style charisma, and the bright, sharp voice is independent. Good part for friends tended rock packages that just may also sometimes be restrained.

Dfference From Real And Fake Boobs

purest UNDERGROUND: MAHOGANY BRAIN - Smooth Sick Lights (

(1972/77, Pole, France, 47.52)
01 Green Winter of Revolvers
02 Cathedral's Skirts
03 Church
04th Purple Overdose No. 102 05th
Silkskin Dawn
06th Tongues-Movie: Doctor Cloud
07th Rose Sad Sea
08th Diamond Stars Voices Of
09th Burning The Vibes
Here is an example of what happens when a bunch of hippies and revolutionaries with no previous knowledge of music Drugs and instruments are. MAHOGANY BRAIN is a French free-form project, the present, 1977 to the avant garde oriented POLE label released album was recorded in 1972 in a fit of collective madness, and lowest in the state of intoxication. It sounds completely fall off track, degenerates, deprived of any structure and any orientation. But once we look behind the front lines of this Dadaist sound outbreak and we will see, despite the rather unprofessional Live recordings from June afternoon in 1972 a bunch of musicians with a plan. Guitarist, bassist and drummer are in fact not just musical Neanderthal, the bedröhnt to the hairline and pointless halluzinogenisiert lam into their instruments. It is a collective live recording, a jam session, as was typical for that time, but rather for the late 60s yet. Hippie music, free improvisation, and quite a bit accomplished, even if much of an angle and sounds of the track. The experimental Krautrock already burned a wild right from the horizon and the sun is also reflected in the neighboring countries. What Amon Düül, the 1, not 2, had as recorded in 1968 in their massive session, then what in the coming years, in part unfairly by greedy record companies as "Psychedelic Underground", "Paradise Heels Düül", "Collapsing" and "Disaster "was released, is not one bit other than that, what mortise MAHOGANY BRAIN here. Perhaps even a tad revolutionary because early. Yes, like falling into raging obsession or obsessive frenzy, the band are here in the eruptive freiförmigeren moments, has "dawn Silkskin" but also with quite a cute Psychedelic rock number with oblique stoned female vocals. And who takes the trouble to go through this inferno, a second or third time, which is seen drowning in the noisy sound of confused currents even one or the other touching melody. Boogie influences, psychedelia, blues, free jazz, the boys and the girls were quite affected. I would give them the early, most free PINK FLOYD, VELVET UNDERGROUND feat. Nico, Amon Düül and people like Zappa and Beefheart as models assign, maybe jazz musicians like Coltrane, even if something seems far-fetched. Certainly the models playfully yet accomplished, except the Teutonic group, but in the right direction. For fans of sweet beguiling Psychedelicpop this is not suitable for a more Acidfreakout in which you ask not necessarily for the origin of the mushrooms and juices that come there on the table and where you can already start times the little blue spaceship. The sound of the disk is of course as their compositional nature, rough, muddy and unproduced. And yet I find the whole nature of this Gewaltjam ago, from his expression and the way he touched me, so moving fascinating. I'm really in love, but can understand as well that music lovers respond to other demands on extremely hateful. For commuters and - exceed.

from the British extreme music scene of the 80s, these friendly gentlemen come here, Sonic Violence in 1990 with their LP "hunting" on Peaceville Records created a classic monolithic atonal music, which is broadly the Industrial assigned. Industrial Rock, or - metal, depending on how you want the force and the degree indicate the distortion of the guitar group. No song does not need this thundering, screeching, snorting, heavy arable be Klampfensounds, which are reminiscent of a huge steam engine in the fits at times, a slight hint of melody, if the player is either small changes as it stands still atonal structures or minimalist , but nonetheless intense sequences of notes played. Including rattling bass and drums repetitive, hypnotic grooves down, perfectly, with every stroke in place. The operator roars about anger and always with his charismatic voice commands. Yes, it is sitting. One sees in the mind's eye, sweating, muscular built, top to bottom keep up with oil and carbon black dirty workers this powerful sound machine in motion. That is, in fact, Industrial Metal. Influences can be up to the monotonous held New Wave and minimalist post-punk of the trace late 70s and early 80s, the sawing, dirty infernal guitars are evidence of an extended family to the UK Hardcore / Grindcore / Death Metal spectrum, see AMEBIX, Axegrinder, NAPALM DEATH. Fans of bands like GODFLESH or later occurred, nor death PITCH SHIFTER term should incorporate this piece of gold at screening. Mighty impressive disc.

I left the team!

Hey Magnolia fans. For personal reasons I left the Magnolia DT. Magnolia with it has nothing to do, my life has just changed and I do not have time to get intense in all DT's to participate in such a way as I would love to. And so I dared to take this step. Of course I am sad on the one hand, on the other hand, glad that I miss now no deadline more pull / will. This blog here I will not continue, but you can find me on my private blog of course continue stempelelfejayjay.blogspot.com .

RIP Lora 19? - 16.04.2010

I'm just shocked, flogged, and completely flattened. Lora, the cult of parrot, as it were, the good soul of our favorite bar in town was lucky last night of a guest's dog bitten to death.

Lora was the epitome of rock and roll, loved good metal and heavy rock, particularly the V 8 Wankers.

I can not put into words my feelings ...

FORGOTTEN GEMS: MONEY - First investment

(1979, Gull, UK, 35.39 min)
01 Mari-Anna
02 Leo The Jester
03 (Are not We All) Searching
04th Geneva
05th Cosmic Lullaby
06th Opening Night 07th
Final
08th Statements and Demands
09th Remembering (MGO)
10th Goddess
An epic battle is progressive hard rock on this re-release. MONEY supposed to have belonged to the forefront of the NWOBHM, landed, unfortunately, despite deal with Gull Records (including JUDAS PRIEST in the early days) on the rear ranks, for they were just as present in the starting phase of the movement, have 1980 again after a final EP thrown in the towel. "First Investment", the album is from 1979, too early, too playful, they seem too progressive for the mega success. The opener is an unobtrusive, but lovable Heavy rocker with yard-long solos and still quite straight. Melodic, ethereal and proggiger it is with "Leo The Jester", which later landed on a NWOBHM compilation. There are thought-provoking quiet parts, then merrily swinging, slightly detached stanzas, gentle, symphonic chorus of great grandeur and intense instrumental passages between haunting melodic solos. Everything built up very catchy. "Are not we all searching" is a straight hard rock with a cool melody and a few abgehobeneren, progressive runs. Challenging and beautiful but suitable to call, a catchy tune. This song was the 78 single A side, the B side was a mess out here as a bonus. In its central part solos is again furious, yet it remains melodic. There are always little guitar eruptions that give the song a little more force. You love the disc on the spot. "Geneva" is a shorter, but very progressive rock with upbeat melodies and lots of changes. Somehow oblique light and bulky, but definitely cool. They had left with such pieces to the classic prog rock was already behind him, modern, facing the fiddly side of the neo prog. A beautiful instrumental piece on the acoustic guitar is "Cosmic Lullaby" is, which is then terminated by a spacey Synthesizerblubbern. "Opening night" is then an a capella song with elements of old British folk - and choral music. Not necessarily metal, but damn good and for a more progressive board entirely acceptable. With "Finale" will be hard again, melodic and cheerful, almost rocking anthemic upbeat, though the playfulness of this piece is not negligible. Somewhere between hard SWEET, YES, QUEEN and JUDAS PRIEST, the band cheating here by the Botany and does their part so well disgusting. The overall sound of the disk is of course typical of 1979, but very transparent. Sounds nice, raw and untamed "First Investment". This shows a band very much inspired by experts. Lovely. "Statements and demand" is again more theatrical, melodic progressive rock with a harder edge, playful, ethereal, stubborn, with some elements of old British music in the structure and melody. "Remembering (MGO)" rocks a straight line, with a nice, easy melody and a slight feeling of harder rock stuff at that time as UFO or MONTROSE. Geil is then the last original album track "Goddess", beautiful, playful rock with many mystical, quiet passages and epic atmosphere. The band has added some more mysterious moods in this beauty. Nice thing! NWoBHM for lovers, friends, progressive hard rock as Khazars, or SHIVA SARACEN PALLAS and this is a compulsory exercise. The band writes songs alone, which remain permanently in the skull! And there is a re-release on CD with a cool bonus track! Buy!

FORGOTTEN JUWELEN: RAVENS'HEAD - From the darkness

(2002, private pressing, Australia, 48.32)
01 Martyr
02 Arcana
03 Play Me For The Fool
04th Did You Ever
05th The Gates of Hell
06th Closing My Eyes 07th
Tears in the Rain
08th Legend
09th Do You Believe
10th Sands of Time
11th How Many Times
This opens up a new Australian plants, but what one. The singer is one of the most powerful of their craft since the good old Acid days, the riffing, in spite of Hard Rock Roots and catchy, damn heavy, it almost on a roll, the guitar runs. These thundering bass drummers and a straight, yet with subtle details studded beat. Enormous? Oh yes! Epic moments, fast heavy metal with rocking expression, a subtle feeling and unleashed a lot of madness shape this album. The Boyz and the girl may look completely and not at all wrong metal, they play there, but what that has done this to the point, one should not just judge a book by the cover, today just in time. Somehow Ravens' head but smoke weed and also will be Ekstasy have thrown. Their songs have a truly detached And simultaneously feeling the force of a rabid steam locomotive. This is heavy sound of the most honest art is not stingy with spherical, quiet moments, but always come into play only when the thing is to say the atmosphere. However, it is not necessarily bad, listen to me a real ballad, like the extremely relaxed, worn by beautiful melodies "Did you ever", which is replete against melancholy and yet has a very hopeful atmosphere. It's just not too late. Pure magic is here offenbahrt. Ravens' Head are not your typical metal band, as we do every day in almost endure inflationary numbers. No fag Trällermelodien, no hard trimmed to pop songs, the Gaylord is thanks! And honestly, who would not swept a song like "The Gates of Hell", starting with a ballad of the most moving melodies in rock history, then gradually enhancing Bishins to an almost explosive turn in the direction Powerriffing. In the stomping mid-tempo piece developed this incredible force. The solo is sublime madness. This opens up a hard rock classics, like it might once have played bands of the brand Winterhawk, Amulet, Y & T, Full Moon, Sorcery and Deep Purple. Monumental, truly monumental, from rousing catchy and powerful depth. are based on this basis here all the pieces, whether straight ahead or epic. The solos play a huge role, are celebrated with devotion and staged a musical firework. The rhythm foundation with the mind of the listener Henceforth, the soul, which has been set on fire by the song. Timeless yep, yes, absolutely timeless, this disk. Perhaps reminding them of the production at the present time, but of course they do not spoil the character of the pieces, as unfortunately many other bands over and over again. She is warm, lively, friendly. could Ravens' Head really give a damn to any dogma, which they may want to impress the Truemetalsippschaft. Sure, there might be a not insignificant portion of their clientele live, but why make the same monkey and wallow in clichés that have already adopted a realsatirischen train, no fucking way. Hard rock and metal go hand in hand with the Australians march together in unity towards the battlefield music industry where they will hopefully get a chance to marauding. When Rachel quite frivolous pursed his lips and asks, "Do yu believe" what you crying as well? YES! YES! YES! YES! Killer!

VERGANGENE GROSSTATEN: CLOVEN HOOF - Cloven hoof

(1984, Neat Records, UK, 34.09)
01 Cloven Hoof
02 Nightstalker
03 March of the Damned
04th Gates of Gehenna
05th Crack the Whip
06th Laying Down the Law
07th Return of the Passover
One of today's metal generation has indeed sometimes miss a few beats on the back of the head so that they can reflect on its true origin and the magic that she herself has displaced long ago, back of the bottle. And what is suitable to not outstanding as an old Cloven Hoof album? theatrical debut certainly the best known and most widespread plant of the British - Although the later albums like "Dominator" and "A Sultan's Ransom" by even the highest quality were the demonic is. And it goes immediately into the full band with the hymn "Cloven Hoof". It begins with a driving, mid-paced Part, where a eruptive vocal line is going over in a quiet, dark section that something imploring has in itself, makes previous bending to sheer force of steel, allows for a short time again the overture appear and goes further to of the way, another quiet passage begins the intense conclusion to pile on the infernal solos. Singer David has a pleasant, medium-altitude Headquartered in force voice that he missed the songs the finishing touch. Cloven Hoof in their orientation, easily and yet not superficial. "Nightstalker" is following "Cloven Hoof" is a straight Banger anthem with a catchy chorus and a nice heavy riffing has, all in all, an earthy touch. Yet even here there can the British do not incorporate a song in the song, a solo part with modified, prancing rhythm and dark melody. GEIL! Quasi the "Nightstalker" symbolizing how he haunts the nights out hehehe. But since a cold shiver down the spine. A short instrumental, driven and yet dominated by heavy guitars, a march of the damned in itself preclude. "March of the Damned" has a melancholic melodies, which has a truly majestic expression. Next piece is the Hymn "Gates to Gehenna", often regarded as an LP track. A medium-heavy fast song based on a triplet, with a huge chorus and some very spherical Breaks. The charisma is something very demonic, as if one of the princes of darkness in person at the studio was to be visited and who was given in honor of then intoned a welcome song. Metal should sound like, obsessed, just obsessed, you hear only singer David as he cries out his obsession. Cloven Hoof possessed at that time not just an absolute super sound, not even for 80 conditions, the material has only gutgetan, it almost explodes with life and furious Passion. "Gates to Gehenna" will change the way its a short term orientation, a song in the song, this time a little longer. The used parts are all straight and understandable arranged so that the audience must have no fear of excessive display of musical skills. And who was the previous song overkill that comes with "teh whip crack 'compensation, a catchy hard rockers stomping nature, whose guitar lines are simple, but also damn heavy and effective. Cloven Hoof are virtually the British answer to Cirith Ungol and Manilla Road, just rock, ultra heavy, cranky, filled with magic and inspired a completely own Way to go. "Laying down the law" is further evidence for this theory, straight ahead shredded, with powerful vocals and berserk again this beguiling melodies. Epic, and this still completely insane it is to the nine-minute "Return of the passover." It begins with a truly Düsterniß to hard to be taken part, in which only guitars can be heard, some heavy, others feeling cautiously ahead, others deleted infernal as with a violin bow. A satanic symphony to set the mood and then a stomping Riffinferno you away with a raging melody. Again simple, but still extremely evocative in its effect. The majestic Solos on this song and his sheer force of it can be an absolute classic of its era. It will be on its intensity hinfortgeweht easily without resistance can make even close. The whole song is sometimes a really doomy character, which at that time was not unusual. For all NWoBHM Heads of course, a compulsory exercise, even if most of the elegant late-stage with vocalist Russ North and slices as eternal cult prefer "A Sultan's Ransom." I find both worlds, in which the hoof gespalt'ne ever faced, stunningly beautiful immortal.

The skulls are cute, are not they? The Magnolia Halloween and Christmas pattern paper was perfect for pirates * grin *. The red flowers are from a visit at a German fair two years ago. You can not see the black bead caps on the pics, I also added some small punched daisies to the middles and red flowers brads.

have I colored to match the colors of the Magnolia design paper. So it happens that the water has turned dark gray;) And since I do not spell pirate, I have a simple "ARRR" with Katie QuicKutz alphabet die-cut. The oval brilliant day from Spellbinders, the middle oval of Stampin 'Up! This fits into the Supergut Spellbinders day.
***
I colored Tilda Magnolia pattern in the paper's colors. This is why the water is dark gray now;) As I did not have a pirate sentiment I cut out the "ARRR" with the QuicKutz alphabet Katie. The oval tag is from Spellbinders and the medium oval is punched with the Stampin 'Up! oval punch. It's matching perfectly into the Spellbinders tag

Easter Tent Card

Dena has made a great tutorial for a "Tent Card . I had of course also try and here is mine: ***

Dena made a wonderful tutorial for a "Tent Card . Of course I had to try it myself and here's my tent card:

Then I added the brown cardstock is out, I'm now on the Craft cardstock from Stampin 'Up! fall back, which I luckily still be a whole package. Cosmo Cricket paper I found suitable for an Easter card and I have yet smooth even the new "apron Tilda with eggs in her " taken from the new collection of Hoppy Easter Magnolia for my tent card.
***
As I do not have any beige cardstock anymore I had to use my power cardstock from Stampin 'Up! for my card. What a luck that I still have a whole package here. The pattern paper is from Cosmo Cricket and I think it is perfect for an Easter card. I used "Tilda with eggs in her apron " from the new Hoppy Easter Collection from Magnolia for my tent card.

Here you can see why it's called tent map. She has a special bottom fold. I find the idea totally good and will definitely do more of these cards (which look hopefully not so bald). The sweet Chickens and eggs Wagon with stamp from the Magnolia Easter 2009 collection fit so well with the new Tilda that I just had to take., Where I changed the car so that it now uses a basket / nest aussieht.
***
Here you can see why this kind of card is called tent card. There is a special folding. I think this is a great idea and I bet I will make more of these tent cards (which hopefully aren't as empty as this one). The cute Chickens and the Wagon with eggs are from the Easter Collection 2009. I just had to take them because they are matching perfectly to this new Tilda image. I altered the wagon stamp and now it's a basket with eggs.

Hat Tilda ihre Eier nicht schön bemalt? Mit Albrecht Dürer Aquarellstiften *hihi*. Nun kann Ostern kommen. Neeeeiiin, ich much more needs to make Easter cards! Perhaps you may now try yes, occasionally a Tent Card ?
***
Are not Tilda's wonderfully decorated eggs? With Albrecht Dürer watercolor pencils * heehee *. Now Easter can come. Noooo, I still have to make a lot of Christmas cards before! Maybe you want to try your own Tent Card now?

The current Hoppy Easter collection for you.

I the new Tilda with Flowing Hair and Floral Background have used for my card. The background stamp I find totally cute and Tilda anyway;) The cardstock is Bazzill and the pattern paper from Basic Grey. I have taken extra "single color" design paper, as the subject shows so much.
***
I used the new Tilda with Flowing Hair and Floral Background for my card. I love that background. The cardstock is Bazzill and the pattern paper BasicGrey. I took papers because the monochrome image is showing so many details.

Is not she cute? Innocently she stands with her basket full of flowers. You've got to the meadow, it is because not a single flower on it more * hehe *. Tilda geplückt has them all! The paper roses, all of Magnolia. Have you seen the great rose? This is really awesome, because it consists of different materials! The sentiment stamp is by the way of Stampin 'Up! and he is punched with the SU oval punches. The roses and some of the distressten edges are painted with Diamond Stickles, unfortunately, evidently be seen in the photos so do not. she

Is not cute? Look how she is standing. She picked all the flowers from the meadow *heehee*. All the paper flowers on my card are from Magnolia as well. Did you see the big rose? It's beautiful and made from different materials. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! and cut out with oval SU punches. I added Diamond Stickles to the roses and some of the distressed paper's edges. Unfortunately you can't see it in the pics well.

After Masterbation Clear Liquid

Charleston Tilda

I still had commenced the map of one of the last JM Challenges, with which I could not work anyway and I thought that I just take this time as a basis. Lo and behold, it worked!
***
I still had the card with which i started one for the Last JM challenges but it did not work out. So I used it for this week's card and it worked!

is The pattern paper is a new DCWV series that I really like. Yes I love this brown and beige so I decided this time to use the Copics, because I have a marker in exactly the right color. Sven has given me the Burzeltag Polychromos yes, I was able to practice the same.
***
The pattern paper is from one of the new DCWV series which i really like. I love that tan and this is why I used Copics this time, because I have a tan marker Which is perfectly matching to the cardstock. And Sven gave me my birthday so I Polychromos to read what to try them out for the shadows instead of Prismacolor pencils.

practical as that Domi has given me turquoise Flowers, because I really had nothing at all suitable! The sweet heart needles she has given me and I have the same process:) Thanks girl! The "Congratulations" stamp is the way of Magnolia.
***
What a luck that Domi gave me pink flower because I did not find matching flowers in my stash! She also gave me the cute heart pins Which I also used for this card. Thank you hun! By the way the "congratulations" stamp is from Magnolia.

have said how I colored Tilda Charleston Magnolia from the current collection with Copics and Polychromos. I had the marker now not used for some time and had to find that some are really difficult, I've used the most since September 2009 and they are rarely used. I find this rather ugly ... because that the markers are clearly too expensive. I particularly noticed it in the sketch markers (paint, especially here both nibs in different colors). Has anyone because such problems with these markers? I think I will upgrade to the Ciaos ... yet I find the shape of the Sketch markers so schön...
***
Like I said before I colored Charleston Tilda from the current Magnolia collection with Copics and Polychromo pencils. I didn't use my markers since a while and I had to declare that some of them are really rough-running even if I just have them since September 2009 and didn't use them often. I think this isn't fine... they are way too expensive. I really saw it while using my Copic Sketch markers (and the big side has another color than the thin side). Do you also have such problems? I think I will start buying Cioa marker now... but I like the shape of the sketch markers more...
