An epic battle is progressive hard rock on this re-release. MONEY supposed to have belonged to the forefront of the NWOBHM, landed, unfortunately, despite deal with Gull Records (including JUDAS PRIEST in the early days) on the rear ranks, for they were just as present in the starting phase of the movement, have 1980 again after a final EP thrown in the towel. "First Investment", the album is from 1979, too early, too playful, they seem too progressive for the mega success. The opener is an unobtrusive, but lovable Heavy rocker with yard-long solos and still quite straight. Melodic, ethereal and proggiger it is with "Leo The Jester", which later landed on a NWOBHM compilation. There are thought-provoking quiet parts, then merrily swinging, slightly detached stanzas, gentle, symphonic chorus of great grandeur and intense instrumental passages between haunting melodic solos. Everything built up very catchy. "Are not we all searching" is a straight hard rock with a cool melody and a few abgehobeneren, progressive runs. Challenging and beautiful but suitable to call, a catchy tune. This song was the 78 single A side, the B side was a mess out here as a bonus. In its central part solos is again furious, yet it remains melodic. There are always little guitar eruptions that give the song a little more force. You love the disc on the spot. "Geneva" is a shorter, but very progressive rock with upbeat melodies and lots of changes. Somehow oblique light and bulky, but definitely cool. They had left with such pieces to the classic prog rock was already behind him, modern, facing the fiddly side of the neo prog. A beautiful instrumental piece on the acoustic guitar is "Cosmic Lullaby" is, which is then terminated by a spacey Synthesizerblubbern. "Opening night" is then an a capella song with elements of old British folk - and choral music. Not necessarily metal, but damn good and for a more progressive board entirely acceptable. With "Finale" will be hard again, melodic and cheerful, almost rocking anthemic upbeat, though the playfulness of this piece is not negligible. Somewhere between hard SWEET, YES, QUEEN and JUDAS PRIEST, the band cheating here by the Botany and does their part so well disgusting. The overall sound of the disk is of course typical of 1979, but very transparent. Sounds nice, raw and untamed "First Investment". This shows a band very much inspired by experts. Lovely. "Statements and demand" is again more theatrical, melodic progressive rock with a harder edge, playful, ethereal, stubborn, with some elements of old British music in the structure and melody. "Remembering (MGO)" rocks a straight line, with a nice, easy melody and a slight feeling of harder rock stuff at that time as UFO or MONTROSE. Geil is then the last original album track "Goddess", beautiful, playful rock with many mystical, quiet passages and epic atmosphere. The band has added some more mysterious moods in this beauty. Nice thing! NWoBHM for lovers, friends, progressive hard rock as Khazars, or SHIVA SARACEN PALLAS and this is a compulsory exercise. The band writes songs alone, which remain permanently in the skull! And there is a re-release on CD with a cool bonus track! Buy!
