2 more days
Only two days until Christmas!
Today I was still running quickly in the city, a couple errands. It was so mushy (because the snow has melted off of a week now complete) that I put on my rubber boots. All other shoes were soaked in this weather well.
dress: H &M; cardigan: Zara, Scarf + Hat: Primark; Gumistiefel: Esprit
We have already started the sale occasionally, but great bargains I have not yet done. Today I just bought a really long hoodie from New York, which is totally cuddly and perfect for long days at the university. I'm
times curious how it looks after Christmas, because as a small shopping trip is planned.

When 34th Just Magnolia Challenge is the theme of this week " Special "because it is a card for a special person to make .

At our 34th Just Magnolia Challenge the theme is" special "which means to make a card for someone special .
I scanned the card after the shooting, the colors came across in the pictures totally distorted. see So you at least as short as my card actually looks like !
*** I scanned the card after only taking pictures to show you how the colors are looking like in real The pics I took with my digicam are really bad in the colors!
I had total luck that my new Magnolia So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe stamp arrived here yesterday, I was able to put my idea that came to me during the week, too. I made a shadow box card for a special person. find the tutorial for the Shadow Box Card, you are on the Stempeleinmaleins blog.

I was a lucky girl, because my new Magnolia So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe stamps arrived yesterday and I was able to make the card I thought about during the last days. I made a shadow box card for someone special. You will find the blog tutorial for the shadow box on the card Stempeleinmaleins .
as blank cards I got a great Snow White Christmas script made paper from Magnolia. Basket with the Presents I masked and stamped about the Christmas Background , so that the basket is finally before the letter. The sweet Unwrapped Tilda is one of my favorites. I think I love anything with socks! I cut it, just like the gifts and Ilex leaves .
***
***
I used Magnolia's Snow White Christmas script paper for the card's base. I stamped Basket with Presents , the masked image and stamped the Christmas Background over the basket. The cute Unwrapped Tilda is one of my very faves. I think I'm in love with everything that is wearing striped socks! I cut her out as well as the presents and hollies .
*** for the hole and the frame I used the Spellbinders Labels 1, which simply had the best form of my idea. When Tilda had I leave a bit of ground, so there it sits on a level with the gift basket. I think that's a bit of getting used to, but otherwise they would have hung in the air. Finally, I added the edges of the shadow box card inked in brown. Now I am very curious to see if the card is for the special person like also * hope *.
***
***
I used Spellbinders Labels 1 for the whole, I think they had the best shape for my idea. I had to leave a piece of bottom under Tilda So that it is looking like she is sitting on the same floor as the basket is standing. I do not really like to leave a bit of bottom but otherwise she would not have sit on the right space. In the end I inked the edges with brown. Now I'm really excited if the special person will like my card *hope*.

Tutorial - Mini Adventskalender

your Draw with the pencil outside to the Spellbinder and then cut the shape out. After that you punched out the normal layer with the Spellbinder.

The advent calendar is a cute gift idea, but as he only four "doors" has, therefore, for each Sunday of Advent one, he is more of a gift for adults than for children. Would be too sad about only four, what * grin *.
*** The mini advent calendar is a cute idea present. I think it's better for adults because it only has 4 "doors". Children would be too sad about only four, what do you think? * Grin *.
There are various ways of Mini assemble Advent calendar, I'll show in my explanation on how the flat one.

There are different ways to create mini advent calendars, I've Chosen the flat one for my tutorial.
Such a advent calendar is not difficult to make. You need four large boxes of matches, Spellbinders (Label 8: second biggest Spellbinder; Curved Rectangle: third largest Spellbinder wavy, Square: largest Spellbinder), cardstock, pattern paper, ink pads, sponges, 4 brads and decorations for the design.

It is not difficult to make a mini advent calendar. You need four Matchbox, Spellbinders (Label 8: second biggest Spellbinder; Curved Rectangle: third biggest Spellbinder, undulating square: biggest Spellbinder), cardstock, pattern paper, ink pads, sponges, 4 brads and decorations for the layout.
Before you start please check if your four boxes of matches are the same size and whether the Spellbinders in size as Advent-fit top and bottom of your matchboxes. My white matchboxes I buy Elfes-junk box and Stamping Fairies , ye can the boxes But do yourself. When everything fits together you can!
***
***
Please take a look at your Matchboxes before you start. You need four matchbox in the really SAME size! And they have to fit to the Spellbinders. I am buying my white Matchboxes at Elfes-Bastelkiste and Stamping Fairies , but you can make them yourself, too. When I start everything is matching together you can!
First you need the top and bottom for the advent calendar. The fastest way is by using Spellbinders, of course you can you the Cardstock / pattern papers deal but cut yourself.
***
***
First you need a top and a bottom for the advent calendar. The fastest way to make them is using Spellbinders. Of course you can then cut the cardstock / pattern papers yourself.
take her for the top three "layers" for the bottom two or three at will as well. The Spellbinder do you use this as a template, punch.
***
For the top you will need three layers and for the bottom two or three, just how you like it more. You will use the Spell Binder and shape as template for this.
***

your Draw with the pencil outside to the Spellbinder and then cut the shape out. After that you punched out the normal layer with the Spellbinder.
***
draw with your pencil around the outside Spellbinder and cut the shape out by hand. After that you cut out the normal size with your cutting tool.
Now comes the most beautiful film. For this you ride with a pencil on the inner edge of the Spellbinders along and cut the shape out of it. Now you have obtained with a Spellbinder three different size classes.
***
Now it's time for the most beautiful layer. Draw around the inside of the Spellbinders and cut the shape out by hand.
***
Now it's time for the most beautiful layer. Draw around the inside of the Spellbinders and cut the shape out by hand.
For a rectangular Mini Advent Calendar, the matchboxes arranged later like that. I always put myself in position once before I start the match boxes to color. So sure I can go, that the finer points of match boxes are on the outside and glued all sides inside and not visible from the outside.
***
***
For a rectangle mini advent calendar you have to put together The Matchbox like shown in the picture above. I always take care that the good sides are glued outside and the inside sides before I start to ink the boxes.
And then we go. Ink the matchboxes with ink. Ink and chalk pads have been tested and are perfect for this.
***
***
And then start you can. Ink The Matchbox with your ink pad. The normal ink pads and chalk pads are perfect for this.
Actually it is you leave yourself whether you want to color the matchboxes. I dye always the outside. In the opening I dab a little color, so you do not see the kraft color as the little drawer after closed is. In the drawer I dye only the four side panels from outside. As I said, but of course you can do it the way you like it best!
***
***
You can decide by your own how much you want to ink the Matchbox. I only ink the outside Which is visible and put a bit of color the the inside where the little drawer will be, so you will not see the power color of the box when the box is closed. Then I ink all four outsides of the drawer. But like I said it's your decision how you like it the most!
This is a little tip for you! You should create a small partition between the ends of the drawers, otherwise filled the drawers can open the other side of this type.
*** This is a little tip for you! You should create a little baffle between the ends of the Matchbox, because they can open the other side's drawers when they are filled.
Glue a piece of card stock between the ends. You can tape them with tape and score the problem is eliminated!
Then you glue the Boxes will be so together. You can use doublesided tape, I just use tape. I glue on both sides and it holds rock solid.
***
***
After that you glue The Matchbox together. You can use double sided tape, I'm using score tape. I glue stripes of it all over and it's sticking everything together perfectly.
Now the creative part begins. The little drawer to get their handles and their numbers. I use brads and numbers that I cut with a QuicKutz alphabet. Of course you are also no limits and you can make the handles and numbering so as you like.
***
***
Now the creative part begins. The little drawer doors and their handles are getting their numbers. Which I use brads and numbers were cut out with one of my QuicKutz alphabet. Of course you do not have to follow my ideas and can create it like you want.
Before I put the brads through the side, I stab a needle pricking a hole. Then can easily put the brads through and fix.
***
***
Before I add the brads I stick a needle pricking through the side. After that you can easily put the brad into the drawer's side.
To the upper and lower sides something to round, you can ink the edges of the individual layers with an ink pad and a sponge. Shall devolve later any anomalies at the handcut not resulting small corners.
***
***
To make the soft top and bottom you can ink the edges of the different layers with an ink pad and a sponge. So you will not see any anomalies at the handcut adges.
Only a few steps and your advent calendar is ready! As I said, at the bottom you can decide if you it also consists of three layers want to create.
***
***
Only a few steps and your advent calendar is finished! Like I said before you can decide how many layers you want to take for the bottom.
I have taken for the bottom two layers and the bottom then "turned around" so that the red is smaller layer on top. Because the Mini is Advent are yes, you can not see the bottom anyway. Here one could afford now but as a personal message!
***
***
I used two layers for my one. I turned around the bottom side So that you can see both layers when the calendar is laying now. So I have one layer at the backside which i can use for some personal greetings!
And now, the advent calendar only have to decorate. A tip: glue the single layers are still not together. My calendar is in the picture and not stuck together, because I found the top with brads, ribbons, etc. would make what would prove to be quite difficult, if everything had already been glued together;) The top and bottom I'm stuck until at the very end, then of course I use this double-sided tape so that nothing falls apart.
***
***
Now you only have to decorate the mini advent calendar. A tip: Do not glue the single layers yet. My calendar is not glues together in the pic as well, because I wanted to decorate the top with brads, ribbons, etc. Which would be difficult if the whole thing would have already been glued together;) I take double sided tape to glue the advent calendar together in the end.
***
Here I have a little addition for a square advent calendar for you.
I did it again just made me and my Spellbinders taken to help. So you have to cut from, for example, a scalloped square as the bottom layer. Then you take the size of the matching square, punched it out and use the Spellbinder then again as a template. You go with the pencil on the inside and get along after cutting a perfectly appropriate third layer for your top and bottom.
***
***
I used my Spellbinders again. It's so simple to create wonderful top and bottoms this way. So you have to cut out a scalloped square for the first layer. Then you take the matching square and cut out another layer with it. After that you take it as template and draw around the inside of the Spellbinders with your pencil and cut the third layer out by hand. Now you have all three layers.
This time you have the match boxes above to see in the picture. Please take care that the good sides are visible outside.
***
***
This time you have to glue together The Matchbox like in the picture above. Please take care that the good sides are glued outside and the sides of The Matchbox inside.
positioning stage after her above the rectangular variant described. Colored boxes in matching color, stick together (here you do not need a baffle), Brad's on as handles, numbers the respective doors stick, sink top and bottom and now you have to decorate the whole thing. If you like, for the drawer can also use pattern paper, then they see the inside not so boring.
***
***
Before you glue the boxes together ink them with a matching ink pad and sponge. Then you can go on like before. You do not need a baffle brads but this time as handles, numbers, ink the bottom and top layer's edges and now you have to decorate the whole thing. If you want you can then use pattern paper for the drawer's inside to let them look more interesting.
Okay, here are the numbers missing and the paper is not yet inked, but you can imagine how it would look like.
*** Okay, here are the numbers still missing and I did not ink the layers yet but I think you can imagine how it should look like.

Just For Magnolia we had a skit last week and this is my card: last
***
***
At Just Magnolia we had another week and this sketch is the card I made with it:
I've pretty much this time held at the sketch, I like him very well, as you can see here, large areas of pattern paper. It is still the old Basic Grey Christmas paper and I like it this year (it is now the third year in which I use the paper) is still totally good!
***
I r eally like the new sketch, because you can see bigger parts of the PP, so I did change it a lot. I used the old Basic Grey Christmas papers pattern still, I think it's the third year that I use it now but I love it!
Instead of a day but I prefer Ilex leaves and a prima flower stuck ;) The sentiment I then stamped Tilda with Candy Cane next . The punch is Fiskars Lace Apron.
***
***
More Prima Flowers combined with pearl and glitter brads. The pearls, I could simply not do without, which round out the whole layout just much better.
***
***
I added more Prima Flowers and combined them with pearl-and glitter brads. I could not stop myself and added some pearls as well.
Tilda with Candy Cane is from the Christmas Collection 2008, I brought it to me but only on the stamp Mecca this year. I think they are so cute! Tilda is colored with watercolor crayons.

Tilda with Candy Cane is from the Christmas Collection 2008, I got her her at the craft show in September this year and really love. I used my water color pencils to color the image.

When Stempeleinmaleins we had an issue with a user manual for a Christmas Countdown published map. The idea came from Tanya . It's a really great card type and also as a suitable Supergut Advent!
***
***
At Stempeleinmaleins we published an issue with a Christmas Countdown card . the idea was from Tanja . I think that this kind of card is a wonderful idea and perfect to use and give it away as advent calendar!
The template for the wheel and the text "Just ..." Tanja has graciously made available on the Stempeleinmaleins blog for download. So I have the same to me both printed in brown, the font of the numbers I've quickly changed and you're ready I could.
*** You will not find the template for the number wheel and the "Only ... days ..." text (also in English) at the Stempeleinmaleins blog. I changed the color and font of the numbers and prints everything out so I was able to start.
I have the card after Tanya's proposal as EaselCard made, so they stand up well and can brighten the holiday season. On my card look out the numbers on the side, which I personally do not at all dreadful, but because one can turn the wheel well and also provides the same feature on this card.
***
***
I think Tanya's idea to make an easel card is perfect for this kind of card. It's a wonderful decoration, too. My numbers are peeking out of the paper but I do not think that this is bad. So you can see that there is a wheel and you can use is better.
For my card I have the sweet Santa's Little Helper from the Tilda had taken so Jolly & Under the Mistletoe Collection 2009. The bench is from the Christmas Collection 2008 and the Wine of the year 2007. The beautiful pattern paper is from Magnolia. The Bank and Tilda aufgekebt with different high 3D pad. For the wheel I have the nesting Flowers QuicKutz used for the award on hole number for Spellbinders Labels SU and a round punch.

I used the cute Santa's little helper from the Tilda So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe Collection 2009. The bench is from the Christmas Collection 2008 and the presents from 2007th The wonderful pattern paper is Magnolia's own collection. I added the bench and Tilda with different high foampads. For the wheel's I used QuicKutz Nesting Flowers and Spellbinders Labels / SU round punch for the sentiment.
I've been looking forever, until I found a nice German saying. But finally I like this one and it was then.

I needed a long time until I found a matching German sentiment. In the end I thought this one was the best and took it.

Ice skating princess Tilda
Yesterday, it was really cold here in Germany, I had ice scraping the first time this "Winter", as I was driving to work. As my Winter Tilda card fits great moment.
***
***
Yesterday it was a really cold day here in Germany. I had to scrape ice off my car's windows as II wanted to drive to work. My Tilda winter card is matching perfectly to the weather.
" Tilda as skating princess " is from the Winter & Christmas Supplement 2007 collection. I may still love you. When Sven saw them, he said, "Oh, a thick Tilda ?"... I think it's just so cute that the old Tildas are not so dry;). Well, the background is from Alota Rubber Stamps. So I'm so Tilda masked and stamped about the background.
***
***
" Tilda as skating princess " is from the Winter & Christmas Supplement Collection 2007. I like still her really much. As Sven saw her he said "Oh, a thick Tilda ?"... I think this is a great image and I love that the older ones are not as thin as they are now;). The background is by Alota Rubber Stamps. So I took Tilda, masked her and stamped the background.
My new Distress Stickles Picket Fence course I had to test the same time. They look really great! Like snow! I took white Bazzill cardstock and pattern paper turquoise. By the white cardstock my watercolor paper did not fit and I had to stamp on cards. The edges of the paper I have distressed. Links I've used one of these great bands, as it is called the white I do not live.
***
***
Of course I had to test my new Distress Stickles Picket Fence here. I really like them much. They are looking like snow! I used Bazzill white cardstock paper and turquoise pattern. My watercolor papers were not matching to the white card stock so I had to stamp Tilda onto a file card. I distressed the paper's edges and added one of these wonderful ribbons (I do not know how you call them?).
Small Flowers and the snowflake I've worked with Picket Fence Stickles, so everything gets a wintry touch.
*** I added some Stickles to the Picket Fence Flowers smaller and the Marvy Snowflake. Now everything is looking really wintery.
The coloration on index card is indeed really difficult times. I used to used only on index cards, and even then already used watercolor pencils, but another company with which I had no problems. Here I've done really hard. The Stickles are at the top of Frosted Lace Stickles. I have taken for the upper part, as they have a fine opening for the application, as the Picket Fence. In the upper left corner I still have to match the Pearl Brad lower right, glued pearls.
***
***
It was really hard to watercolor on that file card. I used only file cards for my cards a few years ago, and then used water color pencils, but another brand. So this time it was really difficult to get a good result. The Stickles in the fir are Frosted Lace Stickles. They have a smaller mouth and are better for smaller spaces than the Picket Fence. I also added some matching pearls.
